May 10, 2011 /Television PR News/ -- The television show "Dallas" was a major network ratings giant, and fan favorite for people throughout the United States during its run from the late 70s into the early 90s. Now, the TV pilot is currently being shot in Dallas, TX with possible future episodes set to be shot sometime later this year. Original cast members, Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray will be joining the new cast of the upcoming pilot along with some of the original consultants who worked on the show during its highly successful run. There was one, in particular, who brought a lot of flavor, and Texas-style authenticity to this popular, long running series - his name was (and still is) Wild Bill Dewbre.
Wild Bill Dewbre has been supplying western wear to the residents of Dallas, TX for over 40 years. Since the age of 12, Wild Bill has been in the fine leather crafting business, learning the ropes (so to speak), and fine tuning his skills at this time honored Texas tradition. Much of his knowledge comes from his father who taught Dewbre a multitude of leather working skills while passing along many words of wisdom. "One of the sayings that sticks in my mind my dad used to tell me is: 'Anything's easy if you know how- practice just helps,' Dewbre says. "I didn't really get it at the time, but I did practice a helluva lot. And I guess I practiced it until I could do it well." Creating amazing looking western wear is definitely one of Dewbre's calls to fame. Many people from around the Texas area turn to Wild Bill's Western Store, located in the historic West End of Dallas, TX, to find the latest in fine western wear, and accessories. Years ago, the production crew of the original "Dallas" series turned to Dewbre to help supply the show with great looking western-style costumes to help give the show a more authentic Texas look, and feel. Because of the expertise that Dewbre was able to lend to the original series, Wild Bill will, once again, serve as a consultant for the series, as it continues the storyline where it left off in 1991.
Currently, Dewbre is selecting from his amazing inventory at Wild Bill's Western Store boots, hats, and shirts, as well as a few other items that will be used on the set of "Dallas". There are also rumors that Dewbre will be presenting a few of the original "Dallas" cast members with specially made western-style Dallas cowboy boots. The full details of the boots, and to whom they will be given has been kept a very closely guarded secret with just a select few knowing any further details. Hopefully, in an upcoming press release, the full details will be disclosed to the public. In the meantime, the cast, and crew are currently hard at work making the TV pilot something special, and something that will draw great interest from those tuned in. The various scenes in the pilot episode are being shot in undisclosed locations around the Dallas / Fort Worth, TX area. Dewbre is very excited about working as a consultant on the show, and he knows that people will fall in love with the new show just like they did with the original series 30 years ago. Wild Bill also looks forward to doing his part to help in rekindling the love affair fans of the original series had with the "Dallas" cast, and storyline, as well as, helping to introduce a whole new generation to the amazingly breathtaking, and drama filled world of "Dallas".
