Millions Tune Into Safestyle UK After Radio Campaign

Window and door company enjoys surge in internet traffic following a highly successful radio ad campaign.

OSWALDTWISTLE, ENGLAND, December 18, 2010 /Television PR News/ -- DOUBLE glazing giant Safestyle UK is celebrating the startling success of a new radio advertising campaign.
The window and door company's presence on the airwaves has resulted in surge in inquiries via its website.
Safestyle has had over 25 radio ads broadcast on various national and local radio stations in the past couple of months to supplement its famous television advertising promos.
A spokesman for Safestyle UK said today: "We decided to experiment and try pushing the medium of radio for a part of our overall advertising campaign.
"Radio's not traditionally been seen as a direct response medium, but with the advent of the internet and its more widespread use, it now appears radio is capable of giving a more instant response.
"We tried a host of different styles in more than 25 adverts and the results have been fantastic.
"We have seen a doubling in the number of website inquiries from people who heard about us on the radio."
Safestyle has been focusing on beefing up its internet profile to boost its online presence.
The firm, which has become well known for its cult TV ads featuring famous names such as Ken Morley and Cannon and Ball, is determined to attract more visitors to its website to capitalise on the cyberspace revolution.
Safestyle has already recruited Lancashire-based web marketing experts Optimise Media to boost its overall internet profile, and also hired The Small Agency to be its design and creative gurus.
The Safestyle spokesman added: "We are famous for our cult television adverts but our new radio promos have opened up a host of new possibilities for us."
Safestyle has also stepped up its TV advertising campaign by launching several new promos featuring former Coronation Street star Ken Morley and "Window Man" Jeff Brown, famous for his BOGOF ("You buy one, you get one free") catchphrase.
The company, which launched in 1992, is the biggest independent provider of quality uPVC double glazing in the UK. Based in Bradford, Safestyle has 40 nationwide branches.
