Midsomer Murders The Great and the Good: Exclusive Early Release Date From Acorn Media

Acorn Media UK have announced that the new episode of Midsomer Murders, The Great and the Good is available on DVD exclusively early from their website.

    LIVERPOOL, April 18, 2010 /Television PR News/ -- Acorn Media UK have announced that the new episode of Midsomer Murders, The Great and the Good is available on DVD exclusively early from their website.

The episode which was aired on Wednesday 14th April on ITV was the most viewed show on the night with an average of 4.9 million viewers tuning in. A peak of 5 million viewers (21.2% share) watched the long-running and ever popular detective show.

In the latest episode, The Great and the Good, preparations are in full swing for the village's annual fundraising evening, Frobisher night. However, Connie Bishop, chairman of the Frobisher Charity Committee and regular sleepwalker, is convinced she has an intruder and frequently disturbs the peaceful village screaming for help.

She confides to Barnaby that she may have been dreaming but other villagers have seen somebody loitering. When a body is discovered at the end of Connie's garden, Barnaby and Jones must get to the bottom of this disturbing mystery before anyone else is killed.

John Nettles as DCI Tom Barnaby is joined by Jason Hughes as DS Ben Jones and the usual array of guest stars includes renowned stage actress Nancy Carroll as well as an appearance by the popular comedian and actor Paul Kaye.

The Midsomer Murders DVD of The Great and the Good is now available to order on Acorn Media UK, is ready to be dispatched immediately and will be the only place you can order the DVD until a general release later in the year.
