Sachtler, Vinten and Autoscript Hold Tripod and Teleprompting Workshop at Talamas Broadcast

Representatives from Sachtler, Vinten and Autoscrip in conjunction with Talamas Broadcast conducted a workshop on their new products including the new Sachtler Cine 7 + 7 tripod at Talamas Broadcast's Newton, MA location.

NEWTON, MA July 31, 2009 /Television PR News/ -- Talamas Broadcast recently hosted Sachtler, Vinten and Autoscript at a workshop at Talamas Broadcast's Newton office. Tripod specialist and New England Regional Sales Manager Bob Jones from Camera Dynamics was on hand to discuss some new additions to the Sachtler and Vinten lines with attendees. He was joined by Autoscript's Scott Cannon, who introduced the GoPrompt wireless prompter and Magno foot and desk pad controllers.

Jones demoed a number of new items including the Vinten AS series fluid heads, the Reporter 8LED on-camera LED light with dimmer, the incredibly versatile SOOM tripod system from Sacthler and the Sachtler's Cine 7 + 7 fluid tripod. The Cine 7 + 7 offers the features of a Cine head to tripods with 100mm bowls. A 16-step counterbalance is complemented by the "Boost" button, which shifts the payload range between high and low, and 7 horizontal and 7 vertical grades of drag. Smooth tilts and quick balancing define the new Cine 7 + 7.

Cannon brought along Autoscript's GoPrompt, the company's wireless teleprompting solution. The GoPrompt is a self-contained teleprompting system designed for news, field and studio productions. Import scripts from a USB flash drive - WinPlus, Word, RTF and text files are all supported - and one can begin prompting immediately.

The workshop was part of a series of quarterly events that Talamas Broadcast began hosting last year in conjunction with manufacturers. The series was developed by Talamas Broadcast Sales Manager Diane Talamas, who was seeking a way to keep audio and video professionals informed of upgrades, new products and the like.

Talamas hosts its next workshop on Thursday, September 10th from 12-4 when Lowel Light specialist Eric Druker will be available to discuss innovations in lighting gear and techniques.
