Eighth Season of Christina Cooks! Coming Soon

Emmy Award-Winning Whole Foods Cooking Series Returns With New Look and Educational Approach

/Television PR News/ - March 09, 2006 - The eighth season of Christina Cooks!, the Emmy Award-winning series hosted by the ever vivacious and educational Christina Pirello, will air beginning in April 2006 on over 150 public television stations nationwide. Christina will cook up fresh, innovative, good-for-you whole food recipes in her brand new kitchen while offering viewers information about the value and importance of each ingredient, explaining the "what, where, and why" of such things as antioxidants, phytochemicals, enzymes, probiotics, and other nutrients essential to health.

"In the eighth season of Christina Cooks!, when I tell my viewers to eat carrots because they're good for you, I'll also be explaining why they're good for you," explained Christina. "I want my viewers to have a new understanding of the information that I offer them so that they can apply it to their day-to-day lives. It's important to know what foods are good for you and what foods are bad for you, but it's just as important to understand why. Being educated about what we're putting in our bodies and the affect that these things will have on us will help us take better care of our bodies - inside and out."

Check your local listings in April and tune into Christina Cooks! as Christina teaches her audience everything they've always wanted to know about whole foods...down to the last delicious bite.
